About the Random Actor Generator
The pool holds 80 actors with substantial international film and television careers, drawn from Hollywood, Britain, Korea, India, Mexico, Spain, China and elsewhere, and split evenly enough that a batch of five is rarely all from one country. Only the names are listed. There are no ages, addresses or private details of any kind, because none of that is needed to settle an argument about who should play the villain.
The obvious use is a dream casting game: draw an actor, then draw a character and defend the pairing. Film clubs use it to pick whose filmography to watch next. Quiz writers use it as a seed for a round, and improv groups use it as a prompt for an impression. Because the draw is uniform, an actor you never think about turns up as often as one you do, which is exactly what makes the game interesting.
